Mrs. Humbelina N. Shiver, 92, of North Charleston, SC, passed away Monday, January 6, 2014, in Charleston.
Humbelina was born on September 21, 1921 in Key West, FL, and had lived in North Charleston for the past 40 years, coming from Norfolk, VA. She was a retired personnel administrator with Civil Service. She was a member of Northwood Church and Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emilio and Isabel (Torres) Norcisa; brothers, George and Emilio; and sisters, Isabel and Pat.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Theron Shiver, of North Charleston, SC; son, Mark Shiver, and his wife, Tamara, of Knightdale, NC; daughter, Debra Richards, and her husband, Bill, of Mary Esther, FL; grandchildren, Christopher, David, Andrea, Allison, Jenny and Andrew; great-grandchildren, William Josiah, Anna, Elly and Katherine; sister-in-law, Jess Doyal of Blountstown, FL; nephews, Johnny and Donald; and nieces, Nancy, Janice and Georgia Lee.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 10, at 11:00 am (CST) at Peavy Funeral Home Chapel with Wyatt Shiver officiating. Interment will follow in Victory Hill Cemetery near Altha.
