Fred Greer, age 83, of Wewahitchka, Florida passed away Saturday, August 16, 2014 in Panama City, Florida. Fred was born in Glasgow, Kentucky and had lived in Wewahitchka since 1956 where he worked for St. Joe Paper Company. Fred was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wewahitchka where he served on the building and grounds committee. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and sports. Survivors include his wife of fifty-nine years, Feraldine Greer of Wewahitchka; a son, Mac Greer and his wife, Susan of Summerville, South Carolina; two grandchildren, Megan and Delainey Greer, also of Summerville, and a sister, Sandra Ladd of Antioch, Tennessee. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 19 from the First Baptist Church of Wewahitchka with Reverend Mike Stroud officiating. Interment will follow in Roberts Cemetery in Wewahitchka. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday August 18 at the church.
