Robert ‘Bob’ Lawrence Ballard, 81, of Crawfordville, Florida, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2014, in Carrabelle, Florida.
Bob was born in Carrabelle, December 9, 1932, to the late Lawrence, Jr. and Aleen (Edwards) Ballard. He served in the United States Navy as Quarter Master Signal Man during the Korean Conflict. Bob lived in Crawfordville for 25 years and was a Calibration Inspector for Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services for over 32 years. He was a 32nd Degree Mason in Masonic Star Lodge No. 78 in Largo, Florida, and was an avid hunter and outdoorsman.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sons, Richard L. Ballard and Donald C. Ballard.
Survivors include his wife, Janet (Peterson) Ballard, and his daughter, Tina Sanders, and her husband, Bo, of Hosford, Florida; two granddaughters, April Joiner and Jennifer Bailey, both of Hosford.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 22, from 10:30 – 11:00 a.m. ET at Sanders Cemetery in Hosford. Services will follow at 11:00 with Reverend Kyle Peddie officiating.
