Grady Lou Nichols, age 102, of Clarksville, Florida passed away Thursday, November 20, 2014 in Blountstown, Florida. Ms. Grady Lou was born July 31, 1912 in Alford, Florida to the late Cory A. and Lula J. (Branning) Swails. She lived in Clarksville most of her life and was a long time member (since 1928) of Poplar Head Baptist Church in Clarksville. She was a homemaker. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Ernest Nichols; her daughter, Linda Menefee and son, Broward E. Nichols; her brother, Cory Swails and two sisters, Floy Sewell and Grace Smith. Survivors include two sons, Glenn Nichols and Willard Nichols, both from the Carr Community; two daughters, Hazel Swearingen of Panama City, Florida and Louise Jordan of Marianna, Florida; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren, and eighteen great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 22 at Poplar Head Baptist Church in Clarksville. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the church with Reverend Tommy Sumner officiating. Interment will be in Poplar Head Cemetery. Adams Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
