Grady Lou Nichols, 102, of Clarksville, Florida, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2014, in Blountstown, Florida.
Ms. Grady Lou was born July 31, 1912, in Alford, Florida, to the late Cory A. and Lula J. (Branning) Swails. She lived in Clarksville most of her life and was a long time member (since 1928) of Poplar Head Baptist Church in Clarksville. She was a homemaker.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Ernest Nichols; her daughter, Linda Menefee; son, Broward E. Nichols; her brother, Cory Swails; and two sisters, Floy Sewell and Grace Smith.
Survivors include two sons, Glenn Nichols and Willard Nichols, both from the Carr Community; two daughters, Hazel Swearingen of Panama City, Florida, and Louise Jordan of Marianna, Florida; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren, and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 22, at Poplar Head Baptist Church in Clarksville. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the church with Reverend Tommy Sumner officiating. Interment will be in Poplar Head Cemetery.
