Mrs. Ruby Mae Pilcher, 99, of Blountstown, FL, passed way early Tuesday morning, December 9, 2014, in Blountstown.
Ruby was born on October 17, 1915, in Calhoun County and had lived here most of her life. She was retired from the Florida State Hospital where she worked as an office secretary. She was a member of the Sunny Hill Pentecostal Holiness Church in Altha.
Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Pilcher; sisters, Ilene Johnson, Annie Belle Ray, Gladys Smith, Myrtice Bracewell; brothers, Wilber Alexander and John R. Alexander.
Survivors include her sister, Ruth Creel, and her husband, Charles, of Blountstown; a sister-in-Law, Michelle Alexander; several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Marvin Pilcher, of Grand Ridge, FL.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 13, at 11:00 am (CST) at Peavy Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Rudolph Barnhill officiating. Interment will follow in Sunny Hill Cemetery in Altha. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 13, from 10:00 am (CST) until service time at 11:00 am (CST) at Peavy Funeral Home Chapel.
