Authorities are searching for a Blountstown man who left Saturday morning to visit a friend for the day and hasn’t been seen or heard from since.

Lawrence “Larry” Nathan Taylor, 61, resides with his sister on Thomas Leath Drive in Blountstown. According to Capt. Adam Terry of the Blountstown Police Department, Taylor left Saturday, April 11, around 10:30 a.m. bound for a friend’s house.

The last thing he said to his sister was, “I’ll see you tonight, sis,” says Capt. Terry, adding that it is completely out of character for Taylor to not return home or contact his family.

Authorities and family members are unsure of the friend’s identity. All the sister knows is the friend owns a farm in Grand Ridge.
There is an added sense of urgency since Taylor is on heart medication and does not have his meds with him.

Taylor is driving a 1996 white Kia Sophia, tag number 434PXX. The photo shown here was taken the morning he left home.

The BPD has partnered with both the Calhoun and Jackson County Sheriff’s Offices on this investigation. Anyone with information on this case is urged to call the BPD at 674-5987 or your local law enforcement agency.
