OBITUARY – Culpepper

Mr. Charles “Charlie” Aldon Culpepper, 82, of Altha, Florida, passed away Monday, April 27, 2015, at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in Tallahassee, Florida.
Charlie was born on January 8, 1933, in Tennille, Alabama, to Roy and Eula Culpepper. He was a farmer and worked in plumbing for many years. Charlie served his country during the Korean Conflict and served in the 45th Infantry Division with the United Stated Army. He lived in Altha most of his life. Charlie was a diehard Florida State Seminole fan, loved the Green Bay Packers, and was also a fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Charlie was also an avid fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Culpepper; two brothers, Leon and Lomax Culpepper; and a sister, Bobbie Jean Stephens.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille Culpepper, of Altha; five sons, Roger Culpepper and wife, Violet, of Altha, David Culpepper of Altha, George Culpepper and wife, Sarah, of Defuniak Springs, Florida, Jason Culpepper of Altha, and Joseph Culpepper of Cordell, Georgia; two daughters, Rachael Watson and husband, Rick, of Altha, and Velma Lockheart, of Graceville, Florida; three step-daughters, Bonnie Hall and husband, Mark, of Altha, Emily Lytle and husband, Michael, of Blountstown, and Amanda Peavy and husband, Jason, of Blountstown; 18 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 29, at 2:00 PM (CDT) at Glory Hill Church in Altha with Reverend Riley Adams officiating. Interment will follow in the Glory Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 28, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM (CDT) at Glory Hill Church in Altha.
All arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown (ph. 674-2266).
