Carolyn Smith, age 64, of Chattahoochee, passed away Friday, July 17, 2015 in Blountstown. Born in Chattahoochee, October 10, 1950, Carolyn was the daughter of the late Homer and Florine (Dean) Smith. She attended Gateway Baptist Church in Blountstown for several years. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a special cousin, Maudeen White Pearson and two nephews, Ronald David “Rooster” Edenfield and Howard Oma Rowan. Survivors include her sister, Lillian S. Rowan of Chattahoochee; her nephew, Stephen Rowan and his wife Jeannine of Chattahoochee; a great-nephew, Greg Rowan and his wife, Sharon of Suwanee, Georgia and their children Megan and Joshua; a great niece, Diana R. Hunt and her children, Dalton, Rachel, Daniel, and Julie. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. CT, Sunday, July 19 in the Chapel of Adams Funeral Home. Reverend Roger King will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Chattahoochee. Adams Funeral Home in Blountstown is in charge of the arrangements.
