Clarence E. Griffin, age 82, of Blountstown passed away Monday, August 17, 2015 in Blountstown. Born in Blountstown, March 31, 1933, Clarence was the son of the late Bud and Louise (Kent) Griffin. He proudly served in the United Army during the Korean War and retired after twenty-two years of service. Other than his parents, Bud and Louise Griffin, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Carlette Fulbright and a brother, Phillip “Woody” Griffin. Survivors include his wife, Geraldine (Mitchell) Griffin; a son, Brent Edward Griffin and his wife, Grace of Bristol; four grandchildren, Steven, Nichole, Emily, and Louanne; five great-grandchildren; a brother, James Griffin of Blountstown; four sisters, Carolyn Finch of Chipley, Beulah Moran of Bristol, Zelma Smith of Crawfordville, and Alice Elmore of Lake Talquin; and several nieces, nephews and other extended family. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 19 at Adams Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 20 at the funeral home with Reverend Paul Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Memorial Cemetery with military honors.
