Sara Elizabeth Young, 65, of Blountstown, passed away Saturday, September 5, 2015, in Blountstown.
Born in Birmingham, Alabama, May 13, 1950, Sara was the daughter of the late William Earl and Lila Mae (Newell) Whitus. She lived most of her life in Blountstown and was a certified nurse’s assistant.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Brandy Lee Young, and a brother, Billy Whitus.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Lee “Round Man” Young, of Blountstown; two daughters, Carla Elizabeth Jones and her husband, Kenney, of Clarksville, and Marcia Kay Sewell and her husband, Reggie, of Altha; grandchildren, Brandy Roberson, Abbie Kay Edenfield, and Kelsey Blair Edenfield; one great-grandchild, Grace Elizabeth Mills; a sister, Kay Edwards, of Altha; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, September 7, at Adams Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 8, at Pine Memorial Cemetery with Reverend Michael Morris officiating. Interment will follow.
