Mr. Ralph Fern White, 78, of Blountstown, FL, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016, in Graceville, FL.
Ralph was born on February 25, 1937, in Calhoun County to Broze White and Ada Belle (Lloyd) White and had lived here most of his life. He was a retired Master Chief with 22 years of service, proudly serving in the United States Navy during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was also owner of Whiteline Boats in Blountstown from 1980 until 1996. Ralph was a member of VFW and American Legion, former member of Blountstown Lions Club and the Iamonia Lake Hunting and Fishing Club. He was a 1955 graduate of Blountstown High School and a member of the First Baptist Church in Blountstown.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Broze White and Ada Belle (Lloyd) White, and a sister, Ada Jane.
Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Jan White, of Blountstown; one son, Wayne White, and wife, Paige, of Blountstown; one daughter Rhonda Alexander and husband, Mike, of Cottonwood, AL; two brothers, George White of Blountstown, and David White and his wife, Sandra, of Blountstown; one sister, Joan Alderman, of Altha, FL; five grandchildren, Michael Alexander, Robbie Alexander, Paisley Alexander, Hayden White and Halston White; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 20, at 11:00 am (CST) at the First Baptist Church in Blountstown with Pastor Paul Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Memorial Cemetery in Blountstown. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 20, from 9:30 am (CST) until service time at 11:00 am (CST) at the First Baptist Church. The family will accept flowers, but anyone wishing may make contributions to the Panhandle Pioneer Settlement in Blountstown.
