Robert Earl Mears, age 68, of Altha passed away Friday, March 4, 2016 in Altha. Robert Earl was born in Altha and lived there all of his life. He was born October 4, 1947 to the late Herman and Mabeline (O’Bryan) Mears. He worked for L & S Timber as a logger; was an avid outdoorsman who especially loved hunting and fishing; and also loved working with bees. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Bell (McCormick) Mears; his son, Matthew Mears and his wife, Hillary; his daughter, Natasha Mears; and two grandchildren, Cadence and Jagger Weiler, all of Altha.
