James Willard Alexander, born February 21 1924, went to be with our Lord on December 27th 2012.
He was a dedicated son to his parents, James William Alexander and Nora Spivey Alexander, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by three sisters and one brother; Evelyn Rivenback, Edith Williams, Helen Rabon and Billy (William) Alexander.
He is survived by two brothers and two sisters, Martha Baggett and Betty Yager, George Alexander and Jerry Alexander. He was a dedicated and loving Father and Grandfather. He loved animals, especially horses and the farms he lived on during his lifetime. He served in the Army during World War II and was a plumber/pipe-fitter by trade. He owned Alexander & Sons Plumbing in Boone, Iowa with his wife Ernestine Sangster Alexander, who also preceded him in death. The family lived in Boone for 13 years, later returning to this area where he subsequently retired from Union Local 229 of Panama City, Florida.
Awaiting him in heaven are two sons, James Houston Alexander and Larry Eugene Alexander. He is survived by one son, Garry Dene Alexander and two daughters, Cynthia Susan Dunn and her husband, Thomas Earl Dunn, closest and best friend; the baby daughter, Vicki Renee Paul and her significant other, Jesse Boring. He is also survived by eight grandchildren Tracy Alan Alexander and his wife Vicky; Teresa Ann Alexander and significant other JD May; Travis Arron Alexander; Andi Marie Berglund and her husband Jim; Angela Novak; Kami Dunn and significant other Michael Waldram; Ashley Danielle Stewart and her husband Jason; and Danny Edward Gray, Jr. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren Danielle Nicole Alexander, Kayla Christian Alexander , Ramsey Marie Berglund, Katelynn Elizabeth Novak, Isabella Aisley Waldram, Jasmyn Taylor Hicks, and Christina Michelle Gray.
Mr. Alexander will be laid to rest at Sunny Hill Cemetery. The service will be at Peavy Funeral Home starting with visitation at 12:30 PM and services following at 2:00 PM, with interment to follow at Sunny Hill. All arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown, FL.
