A late night crash in Liberty County Wednesday claimed the life of a Bristol man.
Thomas Wayne Griffin, 52, was pronounced dead on the scene.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Griffin was westbound on County Road 67, approximately 3 miles west of SR-65, just after 11 p.m. For unknown reasons, Griffin failed to maintain control of the 1989 Honda Civic he was driving. The vehicle traveled off the roadway and onto the north grassy shoulder where it began rotating counterclockwise. The car struck several large pine trees before overturning. Griffin was ejected.
The accident was investigated by Cpl. S. Lolley.
