Dewey Ralph Smith, age 64, of Blountstown, Florida passed away Sunday, December 1, 2013 in Tallahassee, Florida. He was born in Montgomery, Alabama November 1, 1949 to the late George Dewey and Hazel (Melvin) Smith. Ralph was a vocational instructor for the Florida Department of Corrections. He was a member of Travelers Rest Free Will Baptist Church in Clarksville, Florida.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, George Roger Smith.
He is survived by his son, Ralph Smith, Jr. of Blountstown; daughter, Tina Faust and husband Will of Dawson, Georgia; three grandchildren, Ashley Madison Faust, William Tyler Faust, and Jordan Tate Faust; brothers, Tim Smith and wife Becky of Clarksville, Sammy Smith and wife Tanya of Blountstown, and John Smith and wife Jennifer of Clarksville; sisters, Brenda Williams and husband Johnny of Tallahassee, Frances Smith of Clarksville, and Hilda Willis of Blountstown; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 4 at Adams Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 5 at Travelers Rest Free Will Baptist Church with Dr. Shawn Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Travelers Rest Cemetery.
