Mr. Robert F. Lathem, 84, of Bristol, FL, passed away early Friday morning, December 27, 2013, in Blountstown.
Robert was born on January 11, 1929, in Bristol and had moved back to Liberty County in 1962, coming from California. He served in the United States Army where he worked as a radar specialist. Robert also worked on aircraft engines and electronics. He was a member of the Christian Church in Bristol. Robert attended FSU and Georgia Tech University.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph S. and Clarice (Freeman) Lathem; and a brother, Joe Lathem.
Survivors include his sister-in-Law, Ann Lathem, of Bristol; a niece, Gail McCaskill, and her husband, Joe Mike, of Bristol; a nephew, Cayson Lathem, of Blountstown; and several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Sunday, December 29, at 2:00 pm (EST) from the graveside at Bristol Cemetery with Roger Causseaux officiating.
All arrangements were under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown (ph. 674-2266).
